Access is part of the product

How the Academy supports accessible learning

The platform targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its release baseline and applies Universal Design and Universal Design for Learning.

Built-in access features

Flexible presentation

Semantic HTML, keyboard access, visible focus, larger text, high contrast, reduced motion and read-aloud controls.

Flexible participation

Alternative evidence formats, accessible forms, saved progress and no unnecessary timers.

Accessible media

Essential content remains available as HTML. Video requires accurate captions and a corrected transcript.

Support without forced disclosure

Learners can ask for support or reasonable adjustments without naming a diagnosis. Private access preferences and support details are not included in employer reports.

Accessibility feedback

Automated checks cannot prove that a platform is accessible. Each release also requires keyboard, screen-reader, zoom, reflow and disabled-user testing. If you find a barrier, email hello@beaccessible.co.za.
